What it does
Be seen. Be found. Be prepared. Every second counts.
Scan Me Save Me tags carry your emergency medical information: medical conditions, allergies, medication and emergency contacts. A paramedic taps the tag with a phone and reads it straight away — the tag works through NFC alone, with no internet, signal or battery.
The tags are reflective and glow in the dark, UV resistant and weatherproof, so emergency personnel can spot them on a helmet, jacket, windscreen or kit bag on a dark road.
Every tag has a unique serial number, registered free with unlimited use of the app. Data lock means the information on a tag cannot be changed by anyone who finds it. Families can manage several profiles in one app.
New: a disposable event tag at R50 for rallies, walks and runs, with an optional time stamp and data that scrambles after the event; and Find Me, a GPS tracker for loved ones, children, work and travel, at R999 once off from mid October. NFC tags and cards not bought through Scan Me can use the app for R99 a year.
